This place is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in the Austin area. The California burrito was incredible, definitely a 10/10! Perfect spot to grab drinks, chill, and enjoy good food. The service was outstanding, especially Lisette! She was extremely friendly, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of the whole time. Great energy and even better hospitality! Fish taco tasted horrible. Service sucked. And the atmosphere was meh. I have heard only good things from friends but I will not come back or recommend to others. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $60–70

Honestly one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. Service as well as food. Staff was terrible and most food was only edible. We took my inlaws to dinner here Saturday evening. With the good reviews I read I picked this place over many other options and was highly disappointed with the service as well as the food. When we arrived there were only 2 other tables seated so they were not busy. We started with ceviche and guac apps and the chips on both came out not fully cooked they were chewy and gross, we asked for then to be cooked more and they were returned edible but still not great. The ceviche and guac were fine (nothing special). We visited for awhile with drinks which were pretty good (I had spicy watermelon marg) and ordered our food. With such a small menu you would expect everything on it to be delicious and done correctly. WRONG. Water was served warm in tiny glasses (which small glasses are fine if your sever is paying any attention) we had to ask for more multiple times. inlaws and hubs ordered fish tacos which they said were pretty good. I ordered a carne asada quesadilla and a taco gobernador and father in law added a carne asada taco. My "quesadilla" was more like a taco but it came out completely cold and I asked for it to be warmed which they did and it was edible. The carne taco came totally cold as well and they decided they didn't want it reheated (it had guac on top) so it was sent back. I never got my gobernador taco and the server never mentioned it. The guys ordered beers for their second drink and were served warm beer in the bottle and one of them was not the correct beer but he drank it because it took them 15 mins to get the beers to the table in the first place. I had actually gotten up to go ask where they were cuz come on it's a bottle all they needed to do was open when they finally arrived. I ordered a second marg at the same time and our server,10 mins later, walked out with 2 margs on a tray and aimlessly walked around trying to figure out who they went to (there were a few more tables seated now) finally another patron told her she thought one might be mine and I finally got it. Our server seemed to have absolutely no idea what was happening the entire time we were there. There was no communication what so ever. No "welcome!" No "I'm sorry let me fix that" just blank stares. I asked to speak with a manager and was told one of the young ladies was the supervisor and that was the highest rank they had there. She offered me 10% off or a free desert so I took the 10% even though it wasn't really enough to make the experience better but we were ready to get out of there. The bill came with only a $7.40 discount on a $146 bill. I asked her about it and she kept telling me it was 10% off the bill but I later realized it was just off the food portion which she couldn't explain. Had I been offered 10% off only half of my bill I wouldn't have accepted because that was not nearly enough to correct the terrible experience we had. It's one thing to have 1 issue but not with literally every single thing. I don't believe I've ever had terrible service as well as bad food in one sitting. We were offered no apologies or regret for not delivering a nice visit by the supervisor. No one there seemed to care about anything at all. I would have to guess the owner/manager also doesn't much care since there was no real manager on site for a Saturday night service. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. There seemed to be a nice selection of other small restaurants in the area that absolutely HAVE to be better than this Ma'Coco location.
