Our family went to celebrate a few things. From the start it was a great experience. We asked our teenaged boys to have an open mind and try the dishes. Each offering provided different tastes and experiences. The staff were attentive and fun. The boys started getting antsy and somehow we got into folding the napkins. The servers took time to teach us different ways to make designs. The food and atmosphere were amazing. The icing on the cake was when they delivered a handwritten note from the staff congratulating my wife and wishing our the son the best. We can’t wait to go back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Dietary restrictions: They helped with our son’s allergy. Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free of charge parking lot

I’m honestly confused by all of the high reviews, so maybe this was just a very off night for them. The service was awkward from the beginning. One server (the guy with the man bun) seemed like he needed more training. He couldn’t answer simple questions and then avoided our table for the rest of the evening. We also never received our third and fourth wine pairings. Usually, when a restaurant offers wine pairings, there’s some explanation about why each wine was selected and how it complements the dish. Instead, the wines were simply brought to the table, and it felt like the server was just reading information from a card. I could have overlooked the service if the food had been outstanding, but unfortunately, it wasn’t. The biscuit was massive but came with only a tiny amount of butter. The steak was cooked closer to blue than medium-rare (although it did have a nice sear). The corn sauce was watery and overly sweet. The only thing that saved the meal was the dessert. For a dining experience that lasted nearly three hours and cost what it did, I’d skip this one. Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

Want to go on a gastronomic excursion? Fasten your seat belts and head over to Maize restaurant. You will need shock absorbers when you experience the best dining around. Having been to French Table and others, I was avoiding deer as we headed out to Perkasie last night. Who needs New York and Philly when you can find a extraordinary restaurant in the burbs like Maize. The color, the flavors the mouth feel...the chef paints out of the lines and creates his Matisse of colors and more. We are still asking ourselves" Did that really happen?" after one of the finest dining experiences ever. A casual place that it is a hidden gem. Polite, engaging and educated staff. Meaning, you know what is on your plate before you begin. Exciting, fun and alive. Truly made it our best for a while!
