Holy Pecorino Custard!! This was an amazing experience that we’ll definitely be back for. Our host Steve was an absolute hospitality professional - his service was brilliant and he represented the owners and chefs with pride. It was amazing to hear that the chefs select fresh ingredients straight from the owners’ farm down the road and redesign the menu every day. The Baked Scallops were a rich and cheesy delicacy. One each was enough as a starter - absolutely delicious and made us excited for what was to come I don't quite know where to start with the cheesy garlic bread they had me at Pecorino Custard, so we had to try it and we were NOT disappointed. I’d go back for this dish alone! So fresh and well considered - every mouthful was an absolute treat. Pro tip: dig some of the pecorino custard out to try on its own to get the full experience if you can wait long enough before you polish it off! The “Not Your Average Parmy” was most definitely not average! Absolutely AMAZING!! Fresh, crispy, perfectly fried chicken, the “CWA Sauce” that tasted like Nonna made it and balanced the divine prosciutto perfectly the rocket that tasted like it was picked fresh this morning (because it was) I don’t know if we’ll ever look at another parmy the same way We asked Steve whether we should do the potato scallops or the shoestring fries as a side thank goodness he recommended the potato scallops as I don’t think I’ve ever had such an experience with a humble fried potato! Who would have thought to pair a perfectly cooked potato (soft as butter on the inside, super crispy yet not oily on the outside) with honey and pepper??? Genius!! Obviously we recommend a visit to Mapleton Public House as it was top notch, but do yourself a favour - book ahead and save some $$ for the experience - it’s most definitely not “pub grub” you get what you pay for and it’s worth. every. cent!! PS - If you don’t come for the food, drop in for a refreshing local beer - also a treat! Price per person: A$40–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The food is good however we would like to see the two waitresses have a smile just came back and it looked like it was a big effort to serve the few people there. I live in Mapleton and wondered what our visitors would think.

Omg! Amazing food with one of Australia’s best chefs behind the wheel in the kitchen. Wait until you see what will develop here! Sunshine coast’s best kept culinary secret. (Three) hats off to this great chef! Go Cam!
