Really lovely restaurant. The tables are not squashed together, there is a great atmosphere, staff are super attentive and the food is delicious. Lots of food for a very good price! Would highly recommend. Prior to our arrival, I had forgotten to make a reservation at olive tree in Bedfordshire and Gunaydin in Kingston. At the door of Gunaydin they recommended we go to Sultans because they were fully booked. So we did this once we got there. It was relatively empty and I suspected it was empty because the service was appalling. We ordered our food. The bread came shortly after ordering. After this things started getting worse. Once we had ordered our main meal and cocktails, the cocktails arrived approximately 29 minutes after ordering them. The food came before the drinks And my partners food was cold. The seafood had seemed to have been prepared freshly. However, the presentation was non-desirable. We didn’t complain. We sat there and saw the humour in how appalling the service was from where we were seated. We could see the food being heated from in silver trays and then dumped on the plates. The manager, having realised he had not come with our cocktails, and a side of man mayonnaise, I’d ordered, came to our table and apologised, and I feel his excuse was unbelievable. We decided to leave without having any desserts because how much we paid was not worth it, especially when you compare Olive tree and Gunaydin.
