Never again. I had rice and meat only. Since when did they start throwing pork in the rice?. First time I got sick from here. Idk whose idea was that in the kitchen but it was so DISGUSTING. NOT a good idea. You have to pick through bone and fatt trying to eat your rice. Can you imagine eating rice and spitting out the flubber and trying not to crack your teeth on bones!. I just wanted to eat rice with flavor. The last time I was eating this rice choice, it had spicy ham CHUNKS not PORK. Never again. sent me to the toilet, didnt know what end it was going to come out of. DONT EAT the rice with meat added IN the rice. Was like SLOP rice. no love. yuck. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

For context, I am fluent in Spanish so there were definitely not any communication issues. I really wanted to like this place. I'm new to the area and all I heard was try Maria's Kitchen. Honestly I am not sure how this place is still open. Their food has NO flavor, no salt, nothing. The location is so out of date and ugly, they need to invest back in their business. On top of that the customer service is horrendous. The worst thing though is when you order $16 worth of food and you're about to pay but they are charging you $26 and then when you ask why since you only ordered $16 worth of food the employee tells you "I was going to give you the extra $10 in tostones" but I didn't order that. When I said no. She kept insisting, until I asked for an owner or manager. This has happened to me the 3 times I tried to give them a chance. Yes. I went 3 times because I truly believe people have bad days and deserve 2nd chances but at this point that's just how they do business. They like to overcharge people and then get upset when you call them out. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Vegetarian offerings: Not sure
