First off, SHOUTOUT TO SANDRA for saving the day and making our visit such a good one! She was super sweet, explained everything really well, and gave us great recommendations. I went with my sis and her man, and we decided to sit outside. We were the only ones out there, and yes… it was 105° But they had fans and misters, so we figured we'd survive. We did end up sitting out there for over 5 minutes without being helped, so I went inside because at the very least, ya girl needed some water. Sandra apologized for the situation and immediately stepped up to be our server. She checked on us regularly, and they even brought us some guacamole and their salsa tatemada. And THIS SALSA. This shit is incredible. So… started off a little rough, BUT they made up for it FAST. Now let's talk FOOD. Tacos Dorados — Tacos de papa topped with tinga and all the toppings. SO GOOD. The salsa that came with it was more tomato-forward and not spicy, so I added the salsa tatemada and GAME CHANGER. I'd definitely get these again. I might even ask if I can sub the salsa next time if that's an option. Chilaquiles Carnitas — Delicious! Definitely something I'd order again. The chilaquiles are flavorful and tasty, but not spicy. And since I like my food with a little , I added that salsa tatemada. It took them to another level. Highly recommend. Chilaquiles Torta — Chilaquiles carnitas INSIDE a torta. Need I say more? Delicious, but this thing is HEAVY. Definitely a “I'm not moving for the next 2 hours” kind of meal. Food coma guaranteed. Guava Limonada Mineral NON-ALCOHOLIC and HOLY SHIT. Incredible. GET IT. Don't think twice. You're welcome. And the atmosphere? This place definitely gets busy, but I can see why. The music is POPPIN'. We were basically like, “Is this a restaurant or are we about to start clubbing?” It's almost club-level music, but still quiet enough that you can actually talk to the people you're with. If you like to groove, just know you're probably gonna start dancing in your seat. Overall, we had a great time. The beginning was a little rocky, but Sandra completely turned the experience around, the food was delicious, and that salsa tatemada & guava limonada mineral are reason enough for me to come back. Would definitely return!️. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Brunch

First time going to this location, the food was great and our server Sandra did a great job! She had the best energy and service. One of our best experience in a restaurant. Would recommend, specially the service! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $20–30

Tried Chilaquiles Modern Kitchen and for $115, I guess we expected a little more. Bottomless mimosas were fine, but the guacamole tasted store-bought and the chips were rock hard. We (shared) the fajitas.. no sizzle, no char, and not even hot. Maybe 7–8 shrimp total, barely any onions, super thin peppers, and four small tortillas with not enough filling to use them. At one point we were even questioning if the shrimp were fully cooked. Service didn’t help either. In two years of being together, we’ve never been this disappointed by a meal. P.S The picture makes it look better than it actually was. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4
