Today was my birthday and the Mary Valley Crew put out all the stops. I thoughrally enjoyed this trip. We attended the VIP private cabin for $159 per adult with children under 2 travelling free. I found the time to be a very nice experience for a family and would do it again if I get the chance. I really loved the cheese platter. One thing to note is that it can get noisy and hot on the train and if you have sensory issue bring headphones.

If you're a steam train lover or just trains in general, loved the food and the service was great and the staff made sur to include the guests in their commentary and trip by wishing people a happy birthday and anniversaries over the loud speaker.

Yesterday we had a wonderful experience on the Mary Valley Rattler. It started with the beautiful old Gympie Railway Station, then we went inside where a lot of people were enjoying breakfast while the piano was being played. The gift shop was well stocked with a good variety, and a range of prices. Being able to take our dog was important to us (caravanners), and added to the pleasure. The staff, (volunteers), were excellent. Couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. The journey made us feel like we had stepped back in time. Would recommend.
