Sometimes I need to go somewhere with my computer to work and think -- away from everything else. This Lake Boone location was great. I'm posting this 5-star review particularly because there was an employee who didn't just set my app order out like they do at so many locations -- Tanya - instead she looked for me and brought my order to me. I watched and she did the same thing for every order -- so we all got our orders hot and with a kind smile of care. I also like it here because the seating area has plenty of room for a person alone with a computer without taking up a table a family or group might need in peak hours. The food was hot and delicious. I am hooked on the iced coffee so I enjoyed that along with my special app deal. I was able to talk with the manager to appreciate her for how nice this location is—the cleanliness is exceptional and to mention Tanya. Nice experience! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

On June 1st, 2026 at 7:50am, I had the best experience at McDonald. It was the customer service that truly surprised me. McDonald’s in my opinion model isn’t famously known for stellar customer service. Today, I felt like I was at Chic Fil A but for better pricing! Whatever, you guys are doing with staffing & training at this location needs to be the model for the area! Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $1–10 Service: 5

Nothing humbles you faster than needing a restroom during lunch rush. So there I was—armed with Lysol and determination—walking into a McDonald's in Raleigh. Since my oldest son moved out, I make the drive to Raleigh with him once a month for his appointment. It gives us time together on the road—something you don’t realize you’ll miss until they’re grown and gone. Of course, once we arrive, priorities shift and mine is always finding a restroom while everyone else is out chasing sales. I landed at McDonald’s around 11:45 AM—right in the middle of lunch rush—with my travel-size Lysol spray and a level of determination that could qualify as a personality trait. First observation: the men’s restroom had an “out of order” sign. Immediate thought? “Well I hope they’ve got a mop ready if the women’s is locked too.” Thankfully, luck was on my side. The restroom was surprisingly clean—always a pleasant surprise during peak hours. I still gave the handles and surfaces a quick Lysol moment (because hand dryers alone are not enough to earn my full trust ). From there, I made my way to the counter. No line. The cashier was so pleasant I genuinely wondered if McDonald’s has started sending employees to Chick-fil-A for training. I grabbed an ice-cold Diet Coke, and just like that—I was in and out in under ten minutes.
