Good Mackie D’s, popped in after a long day and ate in ordering our meal via the app directly to our table. Nice and clean, pleasant staff, good location although the car park is a bit small. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

STAY AWAY FROM THIS MCDONALD'S BRANCH - THEY ADVOCATE LACK OF EQUALITY BIG TIME. I've been an Uber delivery driver for quite some time, and I've visited this McDonald's branch more times than I can count. Sadly, one thing that has remained consistent is the way some staff members treat delivery drivers. What disappoints me most is not the waiting times or the busy periods—those things are part of the job. It's the feeling that, as drivers, we're looked down upon. On several occasions, when I've politely asked for a drink under McDonald's free drink scheme for delivery drivers at partner centres, I've been met with looks and attitudes that make it seem like I'm asking for something unreasonable or trying to get something I'm not entitled to. The impression given is very much, "Why should we give you that?" To be clear, this isn't about asking for freebies. The drink scheme is something McDonald's itself offers through participating partner centres to support delivery drivers. Yet some staff members react as though drivers are trying to take advantage of them personally, which creates an uncomfortable and unnecessary atmosphere. The reality is that delivery drivers play an important role in helping this restaurant serve its customers. We spend hours on the road in all kinds of weather, dealing with traffic, delays, and demanding schedules to make sure orders reach people's doors. We are part of the same service chain, yet some staff members treat us as though we're a burden rather than partners. I've always been respectful, patient, and courteous when dealing with staff, which is why this treatment is so frustrating. Nobody is asking for special treatment—just basic respect and common courtesy. A smile, a polite response, or simply being treated like a fellow human being shouldn't be too much to ask. It's genuinely disheartening to walk into a place regularly and feel as though you're considered less important because you're a delivery driver. No one should be made to feel like a second-class citizen for doing their job, especially when they are simply requesting something that is part of an official scheme offered by McDonald's. I hope management takes a serious look at the culture within this branch and reminds staff that delivery drivers are not outsiders—we are part of the reason customers continue to receive the service they expect. A little respect goes a long way, and unfortunately that has been missing from my experience here. Until attitudes improve, I cannot honestly recommend this branch to fellow drivers.
