It’s genuinely surprising that the food and beverage experience at the largest theme park in Europe is so disappointing, especially in Germany—a country known for its quality, efficiency, and attention to detail. We were seated at a table that still had dirty plates and leftovers from previous guests and waited over 20 minutes before anyone acknowledged us, despite repeatedly asking for a waiter. When someone finally arrived, they simply dropped off the menus and disappeared. We then waited another 15 minutes before our order was taken. The food selection is equally disappointing. It is dominated by sugary desserts, with virtually no healthy alternatives, fresh salads, or balanced meal options. The staff throughout the outlets seemed indifferent and unwelcoming, including at the ice cream counter where many families with young children were waiting. The restaurant operations would benefit greatly from being outsourced to a company that specializes in food and beverage management and understands customer service, efficiency, and the overall guest experience. The current Google rating of just 3.3 stars speaks for itself. Ratings like this are rarely accidental—they are usually the result of consistent customer dissatisfaction. More concerning is the impression that management either doesn’t monitor guest feedback or isn’t acting on it. For a destination of this scale and reputation, the dining experience falls well below expectations and detracts from an otherwise enjoyable visit.
