When I initially got there, I was really scared The location can make you feel a bit uneasy but once you are at the bar, you realise it is a hidden gem. What a beautiful place. Great atmosphere, good service and an exceptional martini for sure. I would definitely return here again. :). Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £10–20

Merchant House is a highly regarded, premium cocktail bar hidden away down a quiet alleyway in the heart of the City of London. It is particularly famous for its mercantile-history theme and for housing one of the most expansive and impressive collections of gin, rum, and whiskey in the world. I loved the intimate atmosphere and world-class mixology. Tucked away in a cozy basement location, the venue offers a calm, sophisticated, and romantic vibe. I loved the plush interior, it is beautiful, warm, and a relaxing escape from the bustling financial district and capitalism. Beyond a massive library of rare and premium spirits, the bar is highly celebrated for its original, high-concept cocktail menu. If you can't find something on the menu, the staff are adept at tailoring bespoke drinks to your exact taste. The bartenders and servers are widely commended for being incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. They are known for taking the time to explain the history of the spirits and the stories behind the cocktails, turning a standard drink into an engaging experience. For a highly distinct experience, patrons frequently mention "The Brig"—an incredibly intimate, separate one-table bar inside the venue that can be booked for private, micro-gatherings.
