I had a delicious breakfast at Merridee's! I got a delicious iced latte and the Bennett's Scramble and the eggs were perfect! The cheese on top was definitely quality. The hash brown casserole was some of the best hash brown casserole I've ever had. When I come back, it'll be hard not to get more of it. It was SO good. Cool old coffee shop atmosphere. Service was quick. Employees were nice. They also offer beer and wine if that's what you are looking for at lunch time. Parking: There is plenty of parking behind the building. Unfortunately, it is paid parking. Not too bad though. $4.50 for an hour. We tried a new place for breakfast today. Merridee's Breadbasket. Wonderful place yet interesting. It's self-service, but they have tables to sit inside and out. You get a menu, stand in line, order, pay, then go sit and wait with a number. The food came out fast. The staff are polite and handle things quickly. You can see in the back through windows as they press pie crusts and make dough, too. Parking is decent, but it's a garage across the street, and it fills up fast. So go early. Or pray for a spot. Prices are moderate and have good value to me. But the food. Oh, the food. I got stuffed French toast. They bake their own bread, which is pillowy and delicious. Then, they use a sweet cream cinnamon dip for the bread. It's toasted in a pan and then topped with a cream cheese frosting or filling, and they give you warm maple syrup on the side. All that with powdered sugar on top. Decadent but amazing. I want it again. They have so many pastries, pies, and brownies on display. You will struggle to pick. So to sum it up, 6 out of 5 and I want to sleep in a bed made of their food.
