It was my first time at an Ethiopian restaurant on one of the happiest days of my life. The staff waiting on us was very friendly and didn’t mind explaining to us what was Eritrean vs Ethiopian, refilling our tea, offering doggie bags… If you just ring à bell on the wall next to your table, they’ll be notified and come over in the blink of an eye! We tried the vegetarian mix for two and I had a samosa. I liked that only one dish was spicy. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We happened upon this awesome restaurant coming out of landsdown subway station and I'm so happy we did! The atmosphere was great, inviting and serene. The service was top notch, super friendly and we felt welcomed immediately! Very clean and authenticly decorated. Our waitress was amazing and even asked if we required cutlery ( which we declined) however it was thoughtful of her to ask. We ordered the meat platter for 2 and it came out in a great presentation and was huge! The different recipes were spiced perfectly and absolutely delicious. The price was amazing! There is also a dessert shop with various authentic desserts which we ordered to go as we were very full from the one platter. I wished we lived closer so we could go there more often but we will be making specific trips just to go back. Absolutely loved it!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Order type: Dine in

I had the pleasure of enjoying kitfo at Mesobs Restaurant, and I must say—it was absolutely delicious and authentic. The texture, flavor, and the way it was seasoned truly reminded me of traditional kitfo at its best. It was served fresh and perfectly prepared, with the right balance of spices and clarified butter. A real treat for anyone who loves Ethiopian and Eritrean cuisine! I noticed someone mentioned that the kitfo had tomato sauce in it, which surprised me. In my experience at Mesobs Restaurant there was no tomato sauce added at all—just the classic ingredients you’d expect in a well-made kitfo. Perhaps there was a misunderstanding or a one-time variation, but my meal was genuinely satisfying and true to Ethiopian culinary tradition.
