Got take out and the order was wrong and when I called to return the order and have it remade the owner told me I would have to pay for it again. He was not able to resell the food so I was going to have to pay for it to have it remade. When I asked him if I was sitting in his restuarant would he make me pay for a second dish or would they remake it. He was adamant that he was not going to take the loss. For a local small business to have that attitude I will not be returning and he said oh well. When I returned the food he blew me off. I will not do business with an owner like that. I can't say it enough, we LOVE Mis Tres Amigos Mexican Restaurant... They're the epitome of a family-owned, heart-and-soul restaurant. When we moved in last summer, we drove by and I was so happy to see them there... by happenstance, we had a "Tres Amigos" near our house in Virginia that was our favorite family spot. We are THRILLED to have found a similar "home restaurant" here in Lakewood with so much heart and such delicious food. Sometimes it's slammed, sometimes it's slow, but it's always great. The food comes out quickly, the flavors are delicious, and they're incredibly kind and patient with our family (which includes 3 kids). They even put up with my mediocre Spanish speaking skills with a smile! :) Their chips are hot and fresh-made for the table, we usually order the queso dip alongside it for $6.99. My favorite dish here is the Fajitas de Camarones (Shrimp Fajitas) with corn tortillas - it's easily enough for 2 people to share, but I usually just take some home and use the leftovers to make a scramble the next morning. The flavors are delicious and the shrimp is always fully butterflied (a big deal for me - can't stand it with the little intestine is still in cooked shrimp). My teens both love the burritos - they usually order chicken and always finish their plates! Our 4 year old orders a bean taco with just beans on the side (she's goofy like that) and they indulge her with a smile and give her all the beans. lol We will continue to return - we love the family atmosphere, the servers, the rest of the staff, and the location! Thanks guys!!
