If you love HOUSE Music, this place is it. Been to a few Friday, Saturday and Sunday day parties events and this venue is a great place to chill and listen to really great local artists. The staff at Monkey loft is very friendly and service is amazing. Monkey Loft, Shameless Seattle, and Viva Recordings puts on wonderful events. Happy to be chill’in and listening to really great house DJ’s. Thank you. Hella good people in this crew. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Summary: the music was great, but the experience with security staff really ruined the vibe. A security guy, short, with an Afro hairstyle was walking around the dance floor like a lion trapped in a cage, so obnoxious. At one point, he came up to me and told me to move to a specific spot on the dance floor for no clear reason. The only thing I had done was place my non-alcoholic beer and water on a table where someone else had previously spilled drinks. What made it worse was that a few minutes later, another person took the exact same spot, and the security guy — who clearly knew him — greeted him enthusiastically and said nothing about moving. The inconsistency was obvious. Also, the guard smelled strongly of alcohol, which felt extremely unprofessional for someone responsible for security. Aside from that, the music was excellent. Unfortunately, the rooftop is currently under renovation, or at least that’s what I was told.

I had my very first and last experience here. I went and saw an artist Thursday night and while I was there I purchased a cider. 5.2% to be exact. I dont drink heavily and that was the perfect drink for the night. My drink was spiked after I set it with the front desk at the bottom of the stairs. Beware of who you let watch your drink. Even if its a bartender or security. I immediately got a new drink after feeling really disoriented and couldn't form a complete sentence. Security and front desk people are not to be trusted even as much as they preach your stuff is safe. Have fun and BE AWARE! I will NOT be going back and I encourage others to be informed and educated on "safe" spaces in the seattle area because THIS is not one of them! Atmosphere: 3
