I recently stopped by Mr. Taco Loco for Taco Tuesday and wanted to share some feedback regarding the experience. First off, the tacos were excellent! My chicken tacos were a 9/10, and the pricing for Taco Tuesday is definitely hard to beat. Because of the food quality, I would be open to returning, though next time I’d likely aim for a seat at the bar to avoid the current service model. While the food is great, the atmosphere and operational flow could use some refinement, especially on busy nights. When we arrived, the space was incredibly loud, making conversation very difficult. The counter-service model also seems to struggle under the volume of customers; because there are no dedicated servers, the staff appeared to have a hard time navigating the crowd to deliver food. This led to some service inconsistencies, such as my friend receiving their order before mine despite ordering after me, and a significant wait time for drinks. If I may offer a suggestion: during high-traffic events like Taco Tuesday, the current counter-service setup seems to be a bottleneck. Moving toward a full-service model with waiters, food runners, and bussers, or at least adding a dedicated bartender to help manage drink orders, would likely make the dining experience much smoother for guests and less stressful for your staff. Overall, it’s a great spot for a quick, affordable bite, and I hope to see the service operations catch up to the quality of the food soon!
