Kristof was an amazing server. This was my first time at mulligans and let me just say his recommendations were to die for! I'm usually not a lover of crab but let me just say that the deep fried crab was the best thing I have tried in a while! His expertise with making drinks also impressed me. He also took note of my allergies which I really appreciated. If you want quality food, great service, come to mulligans! And ask for Kristof! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

A hidden Gem!! Tucked away inside the Riverway Golf Course in Burnaby this Japanese Fusion Restaurant is Chef Max Katsuno's ( a very friendly and gracious gentlemen! ) creative space, where you can enjoy a relaxing atmosphere and savour the taste of Japan with a West Coast touch. Highlight items ... Fried Oysters, fried in a panko crust, the oysters were done just right, still juicy and full of umami, the accompanying tartar further elevate the experience! Yakiniku, a plate filled with slices of beef grilled with a savoury sauce and served with sweet peppers, baby carrots & shimeji mushrooms. Love how this whole dish balanced each other with sweet & savoury, perfect match with steamed white rice! A warm feeling of home when you enjoying this meal comes to mind! ( Would be so nice if they also offer Miso Soup! ) Our lovely server was very helpful and made our experience both relaxing and enjoyable, her professional manner and smile made our visiting friend from Paris, most memorable! ( France played Norway 3 to 1 while we were having our meal also made our French visitor even more elated! ) A hidden Gem indeed ... it may not be hidden to much longer!! Beautiful restaurant! And the surrounding area is beautiful as well. I suggest going in the spring/summer :) the sky will be stunning. Great place for a romantic date. We went there for bits of Burnaby and got the 3 course set. The entree was so big I had to take it home. Food was delicious and fed minded me of Japan. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
