We had a lovely lunch here after arriving for a day trip to Avalon. Their fish was FRESH and perfectly cooked. We both had halibut, fish and chips/salad with grilled fish. Excellent!

If you find yourself visiting Catalina Island, do yourself a favor and stop by NDMK Fish House. My family stopped by while on a shore excursion from a cruise. Disclaimer is I am not a seafood person. I don’t order fish unless I’m in a place where I know I have the best possible opportunity to get good fish. My wife however is a fish person, so I have her full endorsement of this review. To start with the whole island is a quaint little town. The restaurant fits right into this element. It says it’s family owned, but we didn’t dig into its history. There was one dude waiting tables, he was kind and helpful and kept up with a very busy small restaurant. We had a few drinks including some local beers. They had wine beer and saki and various cocktails. The menu was the usual fish things with some sushi options as well. The thing that stood out to me was the option to pick your fish for most items on the menu, and they had lots of options. We started with their Da Bomb Shrimp and it was great. I had the fish tacos with mahi mahi and they were fresh and tasted great. The truffle fries were a nice option for a side. My wife was the big spender, she went with the lobster. It was 80$/lb and we were told it was just brought in that day. She said it was “the best lobster” she had ever had. Our kids are not so adventurous and they went with chicken strips, and I have to say they were even good! Small town feel, family owned and great fresh food. Give it a shot if you are in town. OUTSTANDING food and service !!! I was on a cruise a couple of weeks ago and first stop was Catalina . Heard about this place and oh was I absolutely satisfied and happy . My server was Ahmed , I hope I spelled it right , who had excellent customer service skills and a great over all personality . What a treat and most definitely will make this my first spot to go to when I come back next time ..Had the Bomb Shrimp !!! OMG WARNING , Taste it and you won't want to stop ordering more !!!
