THE BEST coco bread outside of New York, PERIOD!!!!! My 17 year old daughter and I this thing whenever we’re out running errands, if we happen to find ourselves near a Jamaican shop, we will always go in. She will get a beef patty, and I will get a chicken patty. We will both ask for coco bread, recognizing that not every “Jamaican”place in Maryland (or anywhere outside of New York for that matter) offers it Go figure I am a New Yorker through and through, raised in Hollis, Queens, New York. When I moved to Maryland during my senior year of high school, one the things I missed most was the cuisine that could truly only be best captured in New York — Pizza, bagels, and Jamaican beef patties with coco bread. And then we walked into Negril Jamaican eatery in Laurel, Maryland. The beef patty was absolutely divine, and the cocoa bread was literally next level. Side note, their Sorrel is also FABULOUS !!! I haven’t had anything even close to that since New York, and it rivals the ones I got in Wait for it Jamaica, New York. Soft, buttery, literally the flavor of Heaven in my mouth!! If you are EVER in Laurel along Route 1, next to Laurel Mall, go into the strip mall right next to it, and make your way to Negril Jamaican eatery. You will NOT be disappointed. When I tell you that New York has finally come to Maryland, that is no joke. So glad I found this treasure!!! Meal type: Other Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Great location. First time there and we was thinking Caribbean for lunch, not only was their location not far from us their reviews and menu look good (pics). I am a person that do go off of reviews and pictures of actual served food not “props”. Let’s just say from walking into Negril’s to home eating I was satisfied with everything, my gf was a little disappointed however she likes her curry just a little more smothered other than everything else was really amazing that’s the only reason am giving 4 stars, I also had order jerk chicken meal for my daughter which she said was delicious and just Jerky(sorry not shown). Great customer service, their online/delivery pick-up stations are really helpful and keeps others from accidentally getting mixed up. Even though the restaurant may not be that big in size it’s still has a openness with small seating area to eat or wait for food. Only thing I can say negative is that there’s a L.A. Fitness next door in the shopping center which take up parking from other stores but I was able to find parking infront. Will definitely be back if we’re back in Laurel area again. I haven't eaten at Negril in years because I no longer live near any. When I saw one near my office, I couldn't help but get me some. This Negril in Laurel, MD lived up to my memories. My food was packed well, tasted delicious and filled my belly. I ordered the snapper and all the patties, shrimp, chicken and spinach. The sorrel drink and the sourdough drink were both amazing! I was hungry...no pics. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Rice and Peas, Rice & Peas, Snapper Escovitch, Sorrel
