The prices here are undeniably high — Mayfair premium in full effect — but still a bit eyebrow‑raising for what you get. The silver lining is the service, which was genuinely impeccable and the highlight of the visit. Where things slipped was transparency. Clear pricing for dine‑in vs. takeaway would spare guests the surprise factor. £18.13 for a watery matcha chestnut and an overly sweet slice of banana bread felt less like luxury and more like an unexpected plot twist. A little clarity and a touch more finesse in the food would make the experience feel far more aligned with its 5‑star setting. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Tucked away next to Green Park and nestled within the luxurious 1 Hotel Mayfair, Neighbours is a beautifully curated café with a warm atmosphere and genuinely kind staff. I ordered an iced matcha with vanilla syrup, and it was absolutely incredible easily one of the best I’ve had in London. While it is on the pricier side, the premium location and upscale environment more than justify the cost. Would I return? Without hesitation. It’s an ideal setting for working on creative projects, thanks to its calm ambience, comfortable seating, and natural lighting. There are power sockets located near the sofa seating areas, though they are limited and tend to fill up quickly so I’d recommend arriving early and bringing a portable charger as a backup. I also noticed a mouthwatering selection of cakes, cookies, and sandwiches that I’ll definitely be trying on my next visit. All in all, Neighbours offers a clean, tranquil, and elevated café experience perfect if you’re looking for a stylish yet peaceful workspace in central London.
