We are sorry to hear that you left disappointed, although we are a little surprised by some of your comments.Our menus include a number of vegetarian and vegan dishes, and our team would have been happy to explain the available options. The Roughton Ploughman’s normally includes ham and is not advertised as a vegetarian dish. When the ham is requested to be removed, this naturally leaves part of the complete dish missing.Our team also checked with your table during the meal and asked whether everything was satisfactory or if there was anything else we could provide. No concerns were raised at the time. Had we known that you were unhappy, we would have welcomed the opportunity to discuss the available alternatives and put things right while you were still with us.We believe our meals offer good value and are competitively priced for the local area, but we nevertheless take genuine feedback seriously and will consider your comments as we continue developing our menus and service.

Thank you for the lovely review. We’re glad you enjoyed your meal and appreciate your patience while we settle in. Some of the equipment is simply showing its age and was inherited by the previous tenants in the same condition. We look forward to seeing you again and hopefully earning that fifth star!
