What a fabulous spot. Well beyond A generic local coffee spot. The best freshly made yogurt parfait I have had. What I Ordered for coffee was an eyebrow raiser, but it was made exactly the way I needed it to be made! very delicious! Fresh ground beans from a local roaster. Everybody was super nice in the restaurant. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We ordered a BLT, avocado toast, and mango smoothie here today but were left very disappointed by the service and food quality- the mango smoothie had many small chunks of mango bone in it and each sip had at least one. The BLT was decent, no complaints there, but the true disappointment was the avocado toast. It was literally HEAPS (a layer thicker than the “toast”) of unseasoned, plain avocado on untoasted bread. No seasoning as photographed on menu/other reviews. When asked for a refund, the man working the front desk refused and said we should just “scrape it off”. At around $13, this was a disappointment to say the least. We left hungry and frustrated that our reasonable request wasn’t met, as a loyal customer supporting their business. Overpriced and underdelivered, save your money and go elsewhere with employees that want you to enjoy the food they serve. After a quick visit to the Wake County Public Library (5800 Duraleigh Road off Hwy 70), we enjoyed an unplanned FIVE-STAR brunch at New World Café, just steps from the library. The iced coffee and cappuccino, made with Counter Culture beans, were top-shelf, and we shared the bacon–egg–avocado–tomato sandwich along with the French toast entrées. The fresh-from-the-oven brownies also caught my eye—perfect to bag for an afternoon pick-me-up. Note: The library sits in the strip center, while New World Café is a free-standing building in the parking lot (see photo). Easy to find. Enjoy!
