Situé en face du musée national d'Écosse, le Bar Bobby Greyfriars se trouve à quelques pas encablures du fameux Royal Miles. Après avoir donné une petite caresse à ma statue du chien Bobby, entrée dans ce bar richement décoré dans la plus pure tradition écossaise. Divisé en une salle de restaurant et une salle pour prendre un verre, le Greyfriars Bobby est un endroit agréable et chaleureux pour les visiteurs. Vous y trouverez une très belle sélection de tartes maisons au bœuf, au poulet ou végétariennes qui ont fait la renommée du lieu, ainsi que des plats plus typiques comme le fameux Haggis. L'endroit est assez calme pour discuter tranquillement mais respire surtout l'Écosse et l'amour du travail bien fait. Le service est souriant et affable, et aussi assez rapide. Les prix sont dans la moyenne d'un bon restaurant écossais et vous pourrez en prime vous régalez d'un bon whisky ou d'une bonne bière ! After giving a little pat to my statue of Greyfriars Bobby, I stepped into this richly decorated bar, steeped in the purest Scottish tradition. Divided into a restaurant area and a separate bar area, Greyfriars Bobby is a pleasant and welcoming place for visitors. You’ll find an excellent selection of homemade pies — beef, chicken, or vegetarian — which have made the place famous, as well as more traditional dishes such as the well-known haggis. The atmosphere is calm enough for a relaxed conversation, yet it truly captures the spirit of Scotland and a love of craftsmanship. The service is friendly, cheerful, and fairly quick.
