What an unexpectedly incredible dinner. We were just strolling the town and stopped in because we love Thai food and their outside seating was beautiful. What we didn’t expect was how fantastic everything was going to be. Our cocktails were spectacular, and so was our service. Super friendly and funny guy. Our appetizers and entrees were top notch. Definitely come enjoy a meal here! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The place is really good. My husband & I came around 7pm. We took the inside table. They also have outdoor seating. This is the original location. Inside or outside was quite busy. I wanna be able to see the inside. It’s beautiful. The staffs are friendly. Service was fast. Foods ordered & come shortly. We ordered Crispy Egg rolls, Chicken Pad Thai & Pad See Eaw beef noodle. I also ordered Mango juice. It’s delicious! Love the egg rolls; crispy, flavourful, seasoning is right. Chicken pad Thai is too sweet for me, eventho I asked for rated 4 heat but it wasn’t what I thought it would be. I feel like the peanut crumb on the side doesn’t match with the noodle. But the portion is big. I think it might be good if you’re sharing with 2 or 3 people. However pad see eaw noodle was way better. The big noodle & sweet & salty combination spice with beef perfectly matched. Overall, I recommend to visit this restaurant if you’re visiting Pittsburgh downtown location. Exemplary food&service and very family friendly. We have been to some of the other locations of Nicky's Thai kitchen and always wanted to visit the original one in Penn ave and it pleased us that we did finally. The dumplings and rolls were a big hut for adults and kids alike. The sweet and sour veg with tofu was super yummy along with the Tom Yum soup, Pad see ew, Pad Thai, and Fried rice. Everything was served hot and quickly. Ask specifically for the dessert menu as you will come across some new items outside the regular lunch/dinner menu. We ordered the thai fried icecream and the banana-coconut roll and it was tough to keep everyone at bay from jumping over it as it was super tasty and easily shareable for a large group. The restrooms were clean and accessible. They have a separate vegetarian/vegan menu which is a bonus for anyone with that dietary restriction. Note that they will add a 20% service charge which is totally worth it for the service provided. Definitely one of the best Thai foods in the area and a must visit for anyone who is in Pittsburgh.
