We recently had a family dinner at Nono’s, and while the service was warm and attentive, the food was a bit of a mixed experience. Here’s what we ordered: * Honey Sriracha Chicken – One of the better dishes. It was flavorful, well-balanced, and something we’d order again. * Wagyu Bowl – Also quite good and satisfying. * Nono’s Sisig – Nothing special. It was decent but didn’t really stand out. * Pork Belly Balsamic Adobo – Very tender and enjoyable, although it tasted more like humba than traditional adobo. * Loco Moco – Wouldn’t recommend this one. The beef lacked flavor, and the texture wasn’t very desirable. * Satay Pork Skewers – Unfortunately, our least favorite. The marinade had an overpowering ginger flavor, the meat had an aftertaste that made it seem less than fresh, and the sauce was overly thick. * Rice – This was disappointing. It was overcooked and too soft, with some portions almost having a porridge-like texture. On the positive side, the staff provided good service and were accommodating throughout our meal. Overall, while a couple of dishes were enjoyable, we felt that the food quality didn’t quite justify the price. There are some items worth trying, but based on this visit, we expected more considering the cost. I placed my order at 7:50pm just a slice of oblivion cake and their “homestyle flaky waffle.” Cake arrived 10-15mns. But the waffle was served at 8:40pm. No manager or staff informed us that our order might take longer than it should. When you can see them behind the counter just chatting. When the waffle arrived, it wasn’t cooked well. The inside is still mushy and tasted sour!!! Maple syrup is watery. We just finished one thin, pale and uncooked waffle and never bother to finish the rest. Which by the way, costs ₱355. We will definitely not come back for an uncooked waffle served almost an hour later. Its our first time to try Nono’s and we will never ever come back.
