I celebrated my birthday with family, its not the first time I’ve been to Norma and it never disappoints. We started with entrees of Marinated Octopus, the flavours were amazing, the tuna crudo which was light and delicious, we also had the beef tartare which was scrumptious. Our mains consisted of the Fish of the day, barramundi with crushed potatoes, radicchio and crab bisque which was delectable. Followed by Conchiglioni and Porchetta and the dessert was the Basque Cheesecake my absolute favourite, all dishes were enjoyed by all of us. Not to forget the staff is always welcoming and friendly. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Was let down by our experience here. The food was just average, pretty underwhelming. Yes, the decor is cute, but the restaurant was so cold and the acoustics in here are so terrible that it's impossible to have a comfortable conversation. Would not go back. Meal type: Dinner Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1

Had high expectations for Norma Fitzroy, but unfortunately it fell well short. We waited almost 30 minutes just to have our drinks order taken. Both my entrée and main arrived room temperature...almost cold, which made it feel like the food had been sitting for quite some time. We were constantly looking around for a waitress, often with no one to be found, and it was clear this was happening to other tables as well. There were only two waitresses upstairs who were lovely but clearly overwhelmed. Basic service details were missed — our water was never refilled, we were never asked if we wanted another drink, and we weren’t told what the items of the day were until we specifically asked. We had also noted the booking was for a birthday, yet there was no acknowledgement at all — not even a simple “happy birthday.” Overall, a disappointing experience given the reputation and price point.
