About two years ago, during a short business trip to Tokyo, I decided to spend a weekend visiting Numazu and instantly fell in love with the area. My stay at Numazu Club was a big part of that impression, and it remains one of the most memorable hotel experiences I’ve had. The property itself is registered as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property of Japan. The historic buildings, traditional Japanese garden, wabi-sabi–style water basin, and carefully maintained greenery all create a peaceful atmosphere that feels like a hidden retreat away from the busy world. The room was extremely relaxing. I especially loved the open-air bath, and sitting on the balcony while looking out over the lush greenery was wonderfully calming. Both dinner and breakfast feature Japanese-style Chinese cuisine, with every dish beautifully presented and full of flavor. Would definitely love to visit again! Service: 5

Beautifully designed facility, calm, comfortable and relaxing. Enjoyed the setting, the sound of the sea, view of Fuji san from our room. Restaurant and wine list was pleasant surprise, the quality/value. Friendly, competent staff. Will visit again our travels. Wholeheartedly recommend. Service: 5
