A delicious evening in a lovely, atmospheric setting. Yes, you need a bit luck to get a table, but it‘s absolutely worth it. The cheese platter, followed by pork cheeks and bacalhau, was excellent home-style cooking— fantastic! All of this was accompanied by a lovely wine and some nice ruby and tawny to finish; many thanks — also for the recommendations regarding Provesende and wine-tastings. Price per person: €30–35 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

O’Porco - Wine & Tapas Bar was one of the highlights of our time in Pinhão. Everything we ordered was delicious. The tapas were full of flavor, prepared with quality ingredients, and paired perfectly with the excellent local wines. Every dish was simple, authentic, and incredibly satisfying. The real star of the place, however, is the owner. He is one of the friendliest and most welcoming hosts we’ve met in Portugal. His passion for food, wine, and hospitality is contagious, and he makes every guest feel like a friend rather than just a customer. The atmosphere is relaxed, cozy, and full of character—exactly what you hope to find in the heart of the Douro Valley. If you’re visiting Pinhão, don’t miss this little gem. Fantastic tapas, excellent wines, genuine Portuguese hospitality, and a host who makes the experience truly unforgettable. We will definitely return! We had a good experience. Food was nice, we had the sausage which was amazing and the mushrooms which was okay. It definitely needed some supplements, the mushrooms felt bare. The owner is doing everything on his own so does not have the time to offer drinks during your time there. All in all, would not necessarily recommend but worth a visit if there is room. Price per person: €15–20
