We went to Oga for dinner with family, mainly because of its very high Google rating. Overall, the experience was good, but not quite at a level where I would actively recommend it to others. The cocktail list is rather limited, and the same applies to the wine selection. There is not much choice, although the quality is acceptable. One highlight worth mentioning is the mate-based cocktail, which I would definitely recommend. The menu focuses on traditional dishes with a modern twist, which is an interesting concept. Unfortunately, the execution was not always convincing. The steak was overcooked, despite us ordering it rare and medium rare, which was disappointing given the expectations. We tried all the starters. The corn dish had far too much mayonnaise, which overpowered the flavor. The standout among the starters was the steak tartare sandwich, which was genuinely very good and well balanced. In summary, Oga offers a pleasant dining experience with some strong points, but also a few notable shortcomings in execution and selection. Solid overall, but with room for improvement.
