This is my husbands favorite breakfast restaurant. We drove all the way out to Star City with a group of 8. We go inside, the first young man was very polite and said they would move 2 tables together for us. Then a women came from the back and said we could sit at a table for 6. Someone in our party is in a wheelchair so it takes up a bit more room at the table then a standard chair. The women said they will not move a table for us so we can shove into a table for 6. There was another table open right next to the table for 6 that would sit 4. She had very poor customer service. It’s a shame this place is going out of business but after my interaction with what I assume is the owner, it makes sense. So we took our group of 8 to the warrior cafe where the staff were friendly, welcoming, and the food was good. So long Oak Grove. I hope the young man that greeted us finds an awesome job!!! There cherry pie is amazing BEST I EVER HAD DEFINITELY GOING BACK i wished they would have had ice cream to put on top!!!!!!! sausage gravy and biscuits is A OK Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Biscuits and Gravy Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free parking lot

In the sleepy little Hamlet of Star City, Indiana, there are few choices for anything. There is no gas station, there is no grocery store, in fact there is hardly anything going on in this town. To have a restaurant like this is a blessing. Now there are towns north and south of us that are within an easy drive to get a meal, but why go there when you have this restaurant here. The food is outstanding. The service is exceptional. And I wouldn't think of any other place to eat when I'm looking for a great home cooked meal, then eating at the Oak Grove restaurant. Breakfast is served all day, and no matter when you order it it is out of sight! Everyday they have another homemade special, just look on the truck board next to the kitchen and you'll find anything that your heart's desired. My favorite no matter what time it is, would be the biscuits and gravy, eggs over easy, tater tots, and toast. To be able to get that meal anytime of the day makes my heart warm. Make sure you stop in sometime soon, say hello, and prepare yourself for a wonderful meal!
