One of the restaurants on the JW Marriott property. Upon our arrival, wanted to eat something on property to avoid exploring the area without knowing where to go. We were encouraged to eat some local fare so chose the Mici (Mititei) which are skinless grilled sausages of mixed meat. They were served with fries and special yellow mustard. A nice cold beer is nice addition. I thought the presentation and taste was outstanding. Would definitely eat those again. We also ordered the sauté shrimp and fresh mixed salad. Everything was tasty and well prepared. Atmosphere was upbeat and party like, but maybe a touch too loud for some people. We went back for desert a separate night for the Baklava cheesecake and Panne Cotta, again very good. Staff always friendly and helpful and the outside seating was nice for our visit. Overall, worth staying in for a night until you explore the local area and make your selections there. Dietary restrictions: Plenty of options that probably could be adjusted as needed.

A Culinary Highlight of Our European Trip! My husband and I stayed at the JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel during our trip to Europe and dined at Olea, and we had a fantastic experience. We started with their incredible Levantine Mezzes—the fresh dips and Baba Ghanoush paired perfectly with the complimentary warm bread.Beyond the food, their cocktails were incredible and truly interesting, featuring unique flavor combinations you don't find everywhere.For the main course, the standout was the Black Angus & Lamb Adana Kebab, which was perfectly spiced and juicy. The Romanian Beef Tenderloin was also cooked to absolute perfection. For dessert, you cannot miss the Baklava Cheesecake—it is a brilliant blend of textures and flavors.What truly made the evening special was the hospitality. The hostess at the front was incredibly welcoming and set a great tone for the night, and a huge shout-out to our waiters—Alex, Luca, Gaiu, and Daniel—who provided flawless, attentive service. We visited the summer terrace at Olea in JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel. The place itself is pleasant, with a nice atmosphere, but unfortunately my experience was not fully positive. I ordered grilled dorado, a glass of prosecco, a slice of nut cake, and a cappuccino. Later that day, I experienced a mild digestive upset. I cannot say with certainty that it was related to the meal, but it is the only food I had after just a coffee in the morning, so the timing was concerning for me. Overall, I expected a higher level of consistency and attention to detail considering the hotel’s reputation. Price per person: lei 200+ Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
