I thought the place was pretty good I don't understand all the bad reviews unless they've gotten much better in the recent past and I'm guessing that is the case. All the food was fresh and hot that I had they had carving stations and eggs benedict and scrambled eggs and sausage and bacon and home fries and it was all really good I would recommend you try it out and don't let the older poor reviews deter you. I would say very good value for a brunch.

Stopped by for lunch while touring Old Sturbridge Village. Despite the title of Tavern, they had very little selection of beers and ales and that was disappointing. The food was decent and fairly priced.

Thank you for your recent review and comments. Very happy to hear that you thought the food and pricing was decent. Also, I completely agree with you regarding the selection (or lack thereof) of beers and ales considering after all we do call it "The Tap Room".
I am happy to report that we are currently looking into some new partnerships with local breweries in order to increase and enhance our offerings.
Hopefully, you will see something new at your next visit.

Oliver Wight Tavern is located at Old Sturbridge Village. It is located outside the admission gates - meaning you don't have to pay village admission to dine here. There is also a gift shop - you can purchase all your typical overpriced gift shop "crap". I've only eaten here during the Christmas by Candlelight celebration. The buffet. Set seating times. Reservations required. It's a typical buffet. Focus on holiday foods. Ham and turkey carving stations. Pilaf, stuffing, mashed potatoes. Green salad, green beans, roasted root vegetables. Apple or pumpkin pie. Food is decent. For buffet food. But I will say the turkey is really good. Nice and moist. The candied pecans for the salad are really good as well. The rest is just ok. Not bad. But nothing to rave about. Beverages are a la Carte. Limited bar menu - maybe half a dozen beers and 4 wines. Tea and coffee with dessert. They were a bit slow to restock the buffet. And only 1 waitress was working the whole room. She was busy, but attentive. Though dirty plates sat on our table a bit longer than necessary. It was a great night with family. Despite the food.
