The South Loop is fortunate to have a serious new dining destination in Oliver’s. The space strikes a great balance between modern simplicity and warmth, creating a dining room that feels energetic and inviting. We started with the hamachi crudo, which was the standout dish of the evening. The flavors were bright, clean, and thoughtfully composed. The cheeseburger was another highlight—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and easy to see becoming a neighborhood favorite. The black cod was the only dish that fell a bit short for me. While nicely prepared, it lacked some of the fresh, clean, and creamy qualities I typically look for in a great cod dish. Overall, Oliver’s delivers a polished dining experience with a lively atmosphere and several memorable dishes. It is an exciting addition to the South Loop, and I look forward to returning to explore more of the menu. First timer! Food was absolutely incredible. Highly recommend visiting at least once. Only reason a star is knocked off is because it was incredibly loud in the main dining area. I’m in my early thirties - I can be loud - but once it filled up later in the night it was incredibly hard to hear my friends. Curious if opening the windows would have helped, if that’s an option. Also, our waiter, while very polite, checked on us too many times. Almost ad nauseam. He would ask us for our drink order then come back literally two minutes later. Then another two minutes later. I appreciate being attentive but there was a point where I thought something was wrong because he kept coming over. Massive shout out to Haley (spelling?)! She was not our server but incredibly fun and personable. Hope to come back and have her as our server next time Price per person: $100+ Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Oysters with Caviar, Coconut Key Lime Pie

Visited Oliver’s—beautiful, dark, romantic space with a “Cali supper club” feel. Definitely a date spot. Went with a friend and shared oysters, mushroom risotto, salad, scallop, truffle fries. Espresso martinis for dessert. Drinks were the truth! Food was fine and presented well, but nothing was a standout. Well, the oysters kinda was Downside: oysters looked the part super plump and fresh, but 5 of 6 had shell/grit, which took away from the experience. Could’ve used a bit more strawberry vinaigrette to balance the trout roe. I did ask for it and did receive:) Highlight: the caviar-stuffed olive in my dirty martini was so delicious—game changer! Music playlist, service from front of the house and SARA was excellent! Overall, a sexy vibe, but not sure the value matches the price. Not certain I’d return. Maybeee for cocktails and an app?
