I spent 2 nights on a spa break with my friend Lorraine. We were given the most friendly of welcome by Robbie, the Butler and in fact he made our stay most enjoyable, always on hand to serve us and to advise us. In fact we were extremely impressed with all your staff and that included the room maids. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We can’t recall all the names but would like to mention Issam in the lounge and Isla in the dining room at evening meal. We had treatments in the Spa and they were fantastic. It was our first visit to Oulton Hall and we cannot wait to re visit. A big thank you Oulton Hall Hotel and we look forward to seeing you again. Mavis

Вот исправленная версия: Very disappointing experience Unfortunately, our recent stay at Oulton Hall was very disappointing, especially as this was our second stay and we had previously had a much better experience. We booked a Deluxe Room, which we understood to include one double bed and a sofa bed. However, on arrival we were given a room with one double bed and two fold-out beds instead. The room was not in the condition we expected for a Deluxe Room. We contacted reception and asked whether we could be moved to the room type we had actually booked. We were told that there were no other rooms available. We had made our booking in advance, so it was very disappointing to be given a different room configuration without any prior explanation or alternative. There was also a problem with the bathroom: the shower water was not draining properly. We reported this issue, but unfortunately it was not repaired during our stay. The service at the Champagne Bar was another major disappointment. Unfortunately, the waiter Yosef was extremely slow and rude. This was particularly frustrating because we had stayed at Oulton Hall twice, and on both occasions he was the waiter serving us and we experienced similar poor service. On this occasion, we waited approximately 50 minutes just to place our order. When we asked about it, he told us: “I’m serving another table because they booked it earlier than you arrived.” We completely understand that guests who have reservations need to be served, but the issue was that he did not appear to be particularly busy or rushed. Instead, we were simply left waiting for a very long time. Eventually, because we could not get anyone to take our order, I had to go to the bar myself and place the order there. Shortly afterwards, Yosef came to our table and attempted to take our order as well. I had to explain that I had already placed it at the bar and therefore had to cancel the order he was trying to take. The whole interaction felt unnecessarily unpleasant and disrespectful. We also noticed a significant difference in the way he interacted with our table compared with another table nearby. After he learned that our group was Ukrainian, we felt that his attitude towards us became particularly cold and unwelcoming, while he appeared much more attentive and helpful towards another group of guests. We cannot know the reason for this difference in treatment, but as guests, this was how the interaction made us feel. Overall, the combination of receiving a room that did not match what we had booked, the unresolved bathroom problem, and the very poor service at the Champagne Bar made this stay extremely disappointing. We chose Oulton Hall again because we had enjoyed our previous stay, so this experience was particularly frustrating. We hope management will take this feedback seriously and investigate both the room allocation and the standard of service at the Champagne Bar.

I recently attended a professional healthcare event at Oulton Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort and was thoroughly impressed with the venue. The hotel is set within beautiful grounds and the historic architecture provides an excellent setting for conferences, exhibitions and networking events. The meeting facilities were spacious, comfortable and well organised, creating a professional yet welcoming atmosphere throughout the day. One of the standout features is the ample free parking available on-site, making arrival and departure very convenient for delegates travelling from across the UK. This is a major advantage compared with many conference venues. The staff were friendly, professional and attentive, ensuring everything ran smoothly. The catering and refreshments were of a high standard, with a good selection available throughout the event. The venue also benefits from excellent leisure facilities, including a well-maintained golf course and driving range, making it an ideal location for both business and leisure visitors. The spa and surrounding grounds further enhance the overall experience. Oulton Hall successfully combines outstanding conference facilities, excellent hospitality, plenty of parking and superb golf facilities in a beautiful setting. I would highly recommend it for corporate events, conferences, golf days or a relaxing getaway, and I look forward to visiting again.
