One of the best places close to Pretoria to spend the day. The venue is lovely with a beautiful outside sitting area. There is a nice kiddies’ play area. The food is excellent and the waiters are friendly and efficient. They are dog friendly and provide water for your dog. It has safe hiking trails to work up an appetite. I will always recommend Ouma Isie’s as an option for a nice day out. Thank you, Thinus, for creating a lovely spot. I am from Roodepoort and was looking forward to celebrate my 50th birthday at Ouma Isie's Tea Garden. Unfortunately the restaurant experienced some kind of crisis and the crisis management were non existing. Our table was booked for 12. Our food arrived half past two. Some of the orders were wrong and the salad I ordered only arrived after all the other guests around our table finished their meals. We also thought the pies on the menus were homemade, which seems not to be the case. Very very very disappointing.
