I find this coffee shop interesting. I came here because they roast their own beans, and that usually means every step from bean to cup is given proper consideration. The advertising on their bags even say something like " we small batch roast, which gives the roaster maximum flexibility to create the perfect bean". But then you go into the store and they are making coffee on super automatic espresso machines, which is definitely a huge step down in flexibility to create the perfect cup from a standard full espresso machine with separate grinders. So why put all that effort into the bean and then take away the baristas ability to get the best coffee?? My breve latte was way too hot, the milk had been scalded and it cost $6.50!! My recommendation for the store is to put some money and effort into top quality machines and then train your baristas properly. Then, when I drink an amazing cup of your coffee....I might buy some beans. Also, on your decaf beans it doesn't say how they are processed: sugar cane or Swiss water. This is important to clarify as sugar cane processed decaf has a far superior flavor to Swiss water.

Ample options for coffee and breakfast items. They were also open on Easter morning so we were happy to support them! Great Everything Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Bagel... Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I arrived brand new to Baton Rouge and found PJ's Coffee. It is a magical human driven café. The coffee was good although the caffeine it made me shake, given that I'm used to european style. The green tea is really good. The egg and cheese sandwich comes with a perfect round omelette and a slice of cheese, well combinated. A fantastic place. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $10–20
