Finally found a place down here that gets NYC pizza right. Aunt Lulu makes a great Hawaiian pie, and it’s legit New York style — thin, foldable, the crust done exactly how it should be. Turns out the guys running it are all ex-New Yorkers, and honestly that explains everything. You can taste it in every slice. I spent 15 years of my life in New York, and good pizza is one of the things you end up missing the most when you leave. Most places outside the city just don’t get it right — the crust is off, the sauce is wrong, or the whole thing is just too heavy. Not here. One bite and it took me right back. It’s the kind of pizza that reminds me of home without having to hop on a plane to get it. The Hawaiian in particular surprised me — sweet, savory, good balance, and not soggy like a lot of places make it. Everything just works. If you’re a transplanted New Yorker missing a real slice, or you just want to know what the hype is about, come check this place out. These guys know what they’re doing. In Boca Raton, Florida, there is a beautiful restaurant called Aunt Lulu's NY Style Pizza and Kitchen that provides a true sense of New York in the middle of Florida. I was so thrilled at my most recent visit that I can't wait to go again. I was welcomed by the warm sounds of enjoyable music playing in the background as soon as I entered Aunt Lulu's. It facilitated a fantastic eating experience by generating a vibrant and exciting atmosphere. The atmosphere is nothing short of welcome, whether it's the nostalgic music or the cordial conversation among fellow diners. Let's now discuss the Cheesesteaks, who steal the show. Some of the best cheesesteaks I've ever had outside of Philadelphia are served at Aunt Lulu's.
