Everyone suggested this place to stop by for a meal, I think the food itself is overrated and over priced. But the scenery was beautiful, the beach view and the costal view at this spot was exceptional. You can walk down to the beach within 100 meters, and you CC an also walk to the rooftop of the restaurant to see far and beyond. However, the food and drinks were not so recommended. Pakelang has a restaurant, a home stay and a campsite. The restaurant also has an observation deck to take in the views. The camp site is not crowded with allocated spaces right on the beach shore. There are ablution facilities with a hair dryer and sinks to wash your dishes. The actual restaurant is decorated with art and art pieces by Jack. We had their shrimp with rice and juice. We had the pleasure of meeting Jack as he was decorating the walls of the restaurant and he told us that the wood used to make the horses were driftwood from the typhoon. He is definitely a talented artist representing his roots. The person who helped us with our order is friendly and she is a folk singer who tours around Taiwan spreading the indigenous culture. She also kindly offered to take us back to our bus stop as that’s where she needed to be (she had an upcoming performance outside of the county). The view is a sight to take in. It was off peak season but I saw a performance area and a mic so I think they have live music during busy time. I would absolutely love to stay at the home stay for a few days to take in the slow living and beach vibes during summer. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $600–800 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
