Top location, spacious rooms, lovely swimming pool and high-quality restaurant. All that in the middle of their own vineyards, fantastic. Curious what it will look like after the renovation. Will definitely come back. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Luxury, Great view, Romantic

My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying and dining at Palas Cerequio Barolo Cru Resort, a Michelin-star restaurant in the beautiful Piemonte region in Northern Italy. As the majority of the restaurants and resorts in the Langhe area, the Palas Cerequio is immersed in the beautiful landscape of the Barolo vineyards. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I knew I was in for a memorable experience. The resort maintained its identity with a modern touch. Our room was comfortable and well organised, yet warm and inviting. Some areas that need improvement are: - the bed. It is not acceptable to not have a topper for this type of location - the bathroom. The lack of a bidet is a severe problem. We are in Italy, and we want it! - the road to the resort. I have a SUV and had to carefully drive because of the deep holes and furrows. They can be a problem for a standard car. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The food experience was sublime - the freshest ingredients and incredible flavours made each dish memorable. The chef deeply understood the flavours and textures of the region, and I was delighted to sample some of the local wines that were expertly paired with each dish. The overall experience was indeed one of a kind. The place is expensive but this is not a surprise.
