As a fussy coffee drinker, I have been frequenting Panelens for more than a year at the time of writing and Panelens has always lived up to its great coffee. The coffee is consistently good every single time. In fact, I would say that they serve one of the best coffee in Melbourne. When I switched to soy, the coffee continues to be excellent. I love the vanilla slices, apple crumble muffins and chocolate cake there. Service is always warm and friendly.I don't review often but I am so impressed by Panelens that I am actually going out of my way to do it.

Wishing I could rate this cafe higher!
Bill and Tina make you feel like you are apart of their family as soon as you walk in the door.
The food is delightful and the coffee is incredible! By far the best and most consistent coffee I have found.
It's rare to go into a cafe now and be handed the perfect coffee time and time again, but at this cafe, that is exactly what you get. There is love put into each cup made by Bill - and if he isn't happy with how it turned out he will make it again.
This was my forever cafe after one visit. Now I can't drink coffee anywhere else.

THE SIMPLE THINGS IN LIFE ARE OFTEN THE BEST. We moved in to the area almost a year ago and wanted to try all the cafes in the mall. We started with Panelan's Cafe, which was a little unfair to the others in the strip given the high standard in service and coffee being on point. Bill and Tina make you feel welcomed the moment you walk in their door - old school hospitality that is as genuine as they come. Nothing is ever a problem and always eager to make your stay enjoyable. There is a tasty selection of sandwiches, wraps and cakes on offer and also a great selection of fresh and healthy nuts to chomp on when those late afternoon cravings kicks in. If you are after a kitchen, best look elsewhere, however if you want to enjoy an above average coffee in an easy going space that makes you feel relaxed and wanted, pop in to Bill and Tina's place the next time you're in the mall.... you might just like it as much as we do.
