We stopped at Pasta 209 and were seriously blown away. We ordered the Chicken Alfredo Bread Bowl Pasta and the Volcano Spicy Vodka Sauce Bread Bowl, and both were absolutely incredible. The sauces are ridiculously good. Rich, fresh, and packed with flavor. I actually asked the owner if he made the bread bowls because they were so good, and he told us they make everything from scratch. The bread, the pasta, the sauces everything. You can absolutely taste the care that goes into the food. The portions are huge too. The bread bowl pictured was only $22, which honestly feels crazy for the quality and amount of food you get these days. The owner was so friendly and welcoming, and the whole place just feels warm and genuine in a way that’s hard to find anymore. This place is absolutely worth getting off the freeway for if you’re road tripping through the area. Sometimes it’s good for the soul to pause for a minute and eat really good food, and this is exactly that kind of spot. Fresh pasta, homemade bread bowls, amazing sauces, and true comfort food made by people who care. We’ll definitely be back. Fantastic little Italian place in the quiet, quaint, and small town of Gustine in the Central Valley. Very focused menu that delivers great quality and taste in a cozy setting. The pasta is homemade and you can definitely taste the difference. There are only three tables and the modern techno music selection gives it a uniquely comfortable but hip vibe.
