When I was a teenager, I lived across the street from Pasta Pantry. I used to hang out in there and talk for hours with Carlo. Besides the interesting conversation, I watched him make bulk quantities of amazing food from scratch. Some days he would be making pasta, other days a huge pot of sauce, or soup, or whatever. I never saw anything come out of a package. I moved out of Toronto years ago, but still visit often. Whenever I have time, I visit Pasta Pantry and catch up with Carlo. Toronto has changed, my life has changed, and the world has changed, but Carlo is still there. His life has changed too, but his shop is the same. The food is made fresh, and is amazing, and Carlo still has time to chat. If you find yourself close to to Yonge and Davisville, stop in to Pasta Pantry. I guarantee there will be something good to eat, and I guarantee the vibe will be completely different than a box store. You will feel special shopping there, and you will feel even more special when you eat what you bought there.
