I had been here several times over the years - and I had told myself this is the last time - and well - that turned out to be a lie again , as my sister wanted to come here - I found the portion for the Nuggets to be rather small for the price and taste - they tasted very plain - no spice , no salt - just battered chicken? - though I must say chicken tasted fresh and oil seemed clean Squid however was too salty - seemed the cook time might of been off? As some pieces were solid rocks , others were so chewy you'd probably prefer to use scissors - Earl grey milk tea - had no earl grey base taste - tasted closer to a normal milk tea - still good but was not earl grey - I believe the surrounding area has become more and more competitive over the years and it really shows - when there was a single table seated on a Friday night - Fun fact : They offer EMT - E Transfer payment if that's your kind of thing haha - Overall, Already expected disappointment - so nothing surprising - I'd probably suggest other places in the area - Let me know if you had great dishes here - cause I'll need a recommendation for the next time I get dragged here haha - instagram.com/vanleo.eat…

Ok, I did a review of this place before and wasn't a fan but now it's 2022 and someone who usually goes took me. Disclaimer- we only go here for a couple of things We usually get chicken nuggets and fried oysters, but sadly they discontinued their fried oysters. Sometimes we get their wontons but the sauce is also hit or miss. My last order of wontons, their sauce was a bit too sweet. For our mains, we usually get their tawainese beef noodle. It's not the best like at actual beef noodle houses, but still better than most places. Depending on my mood, I'd choose between that and the tomato beef noodle. The tomato beef broth is a hit or miss sometimes but still ok. They offer thick or thin noodles. I prefer thin while my boyfriend and dad prefers thick. Overall this place is ok, not the best and not the worst. For a quick bite I'd go here again. Ample of parking since it has a big lot!

I have dined in before at Pearl Castle Cafe many years ago and have gotten bubble tea to go here several times as well. But it's been a long while, so... just before Christmas, fiancé and I ordered from here through Chowbus. In this specifc order, we ordered 2 x Extreme Spicy Beef Noodle soup. I've had this before (but it was fiancé's first time). It is my go-to dish cause it's so delicious. What I love about it is that it's not your typical Taiwanese beef noodle soup. Because the difference is that this one is spicy.. and I LOVE spicy (they do have a non-spicy regular version). They also do not cheap out on the beef.. they give very generous portions (see my picture for proof). And the noodles.. so good! I really can't believe I've waited this long to have this noodle soup again. Definitely not making the same mistake twice! I also do want to mention that my favourite bubble tea drink is their Grapefruit Passionfruit green tea. A unique fruit combination for a fruit tea. Will also be ordering that again soon too!
