Absolutely amazing food! The portions are huge and the quality is excellent. Everything was fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. I loved every dish and was impressed by how generous the serving sizes were. Without a doubt, this is the best Chinese restaurant in Witham. Great food, great value for money, and a fantastic experience overall. I will definitely be ordering again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic, tasty Chinese food! I have lived in Witham for around 6 years and only ever used Peking Chef for our Chinese food. It used to be really good, although over the last few years we have had the odd dish that was a bit poor, but the rest of the order would be ok. Today we have just collected the most disgusting Chinese food we have ever tried to eat. Literally every part of the order was gross. Clearly cooked some time ago and probably microwaved to re heat, but to the point where every dish was so tough and chewy and not really edible. My wife even had to change to a steak knife to cut chicken. The Chow Mein had virtually no flavour, the chips were hard and chewy, the Kung Po Chicken was like battered “bouncy balls” as was the Satay Chicken. No exaggeration, this entire meal was disgusting and the vast majority went in the bin. Was a waste of money and I feel sick after attempting to eat it. I have no idea if they’ve changed chef, cost cutting or what, but I will never order from there again. Time to find another Chinese takeaway in the Witham area!!! Price per person: £30–40 Food: 1

Hi, we are so sorry to hear you are not satisfied with your meal. Thank you for bring this to our attention. Just want to assured you we never reheat or microwave our food. It all cooked from fresh when customer makes their order. I have inform the chefs regarding this and they will look into as why your food is tough and chewy. Sometime when customer doesn’t eat their food straight away or reheating it again at home will make it chewy and tough. Or it could be the chef over cooking. It could be any possibility. But if you’re not happy you should contact the staff and let them know. They will try to put thing right for you. The chef will be investigating. Hopefully you can give us one more try. Thank you for your support.
