Not much I can say about Pepe’s, other than if you have more than 1 dog, no matter the size they won’t accommodate. I tried to dine outdoors with my two small dogs (totaling 17lbs combined) and was denied, while other individuals had HUGE dogs at their table (I mean huge—75+ pounds). I wonder if they limit the amount of children at a table as well. If you’re looking to have a nice meal with your fur or non-fur babies, skip this place and head over to the Patio; lobster Mac and cheese was excellent, as well as the blackened swordfish! Patio has excellent food and cocktails and is kind to animals.

It seems all of the negative reviews here have to do with patrons who have kids, pets or large groups. If they don't want to host these individuals, why not just post it on their website instead of wasting people's time and money, and giving them a miserable experience?? Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

We have come to Provincetown every 4th of July for the last five years and greatly enjoy local businesses, including hotels, spas, clubs, and restaurants. We arranged our restaurant reservations in advance: to the Patio, The Pointe, and Victor's for our holiday weekend. We also made a reservation for Pepe Wharf restaurant on the day of arrival, on Friday, July 1, at 9 pm. We were driving from New York City on that day and had a problem with our car. We hoped to make our reservation, but 3 hours before the reservation, we realized that we couldn't make it and started calling the restaurant, hoping to cancel the reservation due to travel complications. At this restaurant, nobody answers calls. We left messages, but messages weren't listened to until it was too late, according to the manager whom we spoke with today, on the 4th of July, in person, after receiving charges without reservation. Despite our pleas to the manager in person, she acted very unpleasantly and defended the restaurant's draconian rules while ruining our holiday spirits. From other reviews, see attached; it looks like management purposely did not answer phone calls, so guests who need to cancel reservations can't do it and get charged a no-show fee. While waiting for the manager, we saw how both hostesses ignored about 15 phone calls. Very disappointing. Please see other reviews by other guests (attached) indicating bad policies and disappointing services by Pepe's Wharf restaurant management that takes advantage of tourists and locals. Governing authorities should investigate such extortion policies.
