My friend & I didn't eat this time but in the past, food has been good. Lots of locals frequent this place & always a lively crowd. Great place to watch sports with TVs all over. Since it's always busy, usually we had to go to the bar to get drinks. As it slowed down a bit, then staff made rounds to the tables to ask if we wanted anything. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4

If you are looking for a sports bar in Capistrano Beach, Pepi's Sports Bar and Grill will fit the bill. The one area South County is a bit lacking in seems to be sports bars with NFL Sunday Ticket access. Outside of big-box corporations such as Buffalo Wild Wings and Chili's, there is not many to choose from. Thankfully, the Dana Point area has one independent option: Pepi's Sports Bar and Grill. Pepi's is your old school, no-frills sports bar with a huge local presence, fantastic and warm service, and a reasonable price point. They also offer a full kitchen staff although I cannot attest to their culinary output. This place gets packed on Sunday for obvious reasons - to the point of standing room only and the staff will work to find you a seat albeit with other random revelers, which is not ideal personally. That said, they do try to seat anyone they can. Pepi's also has pool tables, video games, and a slew of local and regional craft beer to choose from along with the full bar. This place ticks all of the boxes and should be on your shortlist for sports bars in South County.
