Very serene environment with friendly and hospitable staff. My partner and I spent two nights here and enjoyed ourselves in the resort, especially the cooking class and the market visit. Staff recommended to visit Sayan Night Market where we enjoyed the local food there. Overall, a very pleasant stay and will return if there's a chance! Rooms: Very spacious room and bathroom Food & drinks: Food at the onsite restaurant was fantastic - the grilled chicken, scrambled eggs and more! What a hidden gem! The road there gave everything but confidence ;-) But once we arrived: what a fantastically beautiful, green and picturesque resort! It can rightly be called a boutique hotel: the rooms are spacious, fully equipped and cleaned and replenished daily. Nothing seems too much for the staff: everything you ask they do with a smile. The food is even better: the chefs of the hotel restaurant immerse you in both Indo-Balinese cuisine and European cuisine. Despite the small layout, there is always room at one of the 2 swimming pools to relax. The only thing we missed was a shower at 1 of the 2 swimming pools. But otherwise it was in one word: TOP! The Alena Resort is fantastic! My wife and I were treated like royalty from the moment we stepped on property. We actually switched hotels at the last minute, and I’m so glad that we did, since this was a huge upgrade to our previous spot. Our flight left Denpasar at midnight AFTER we checked out, but the front desk was so gracious to keep our luggage for a few hours and allow us to shower and relax in the spa until we had to leave, when they could’ve just kicked us out to the street. Clean, comfortable, with great pools and a nice restaurant. Highly recommend! Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 4
