Love going here! Just need a couple Level 2 EV chargers in the parking area. Plus, it would help if they wipe a table after use and NOT leave it wet and sticky for the next customer. Using a dry towel to dry the table top would help a lot. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I arrived into Gainesville very late last night so I was faced with limited dining options, and mainly relegated to 24 hour restaurants. I have heard of Perkins Restaurant & Bakery before but never had the opportunity to try it out, since they are not available in my area. So I guess this was the night to do so! Upon entry, it was very much like any other casual dining restaurant. The place was clean and comfortable. The place was nearly empty being the middle of the night, but once the server saw me she quickly seated me. I was delighted to see that there was a power outlet with USB at each booth. Furthermore, there is WiFi in the restaurant. Coca-Cola products are served at this Perkins Restaurant. They tout a Freestyle machine at this restaurant, but it is not self-serve. I ordered a Double-catch with a Side salad. The salad came out quickly and looked fresh. That said, it also tasted like a freshly assembled salad. The Double-catch consisted of two fried fish fillets, four fried shrimp, over a bed of french fries. It was definitely a lot of fried food! But overall, it was freshly made to order and came out quickly. My server was Samantha. She was friendly, provided excellent service, made sure my drink glass was adequately full, provided me with ample napkins and condiments, and made good conversation. Overall, I had a wonderful impression at this Perkins--and late at night too! Usually restaurant service at these 24-hour places are poor at night, but this was not the case. I will definitely return if I ever go back to Gainesville!
