Got the pollo chijaukai and tallarines verdes with lomo saltado - overall, the taste was great and almost authentic, only off is the high price tag low portion and odd tasting tallarines Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $40–50 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience here. When we arrived, we saw one of the cooks outside the restaurant rolling and then smoking a marijuana joint. I have no issue with what people do on their own time, but doing that right at the entrance of the restaurant is unprofessional. What was even more concerning was that he came back inside and started cooking without washing his hands. The service was okay. The only dish we really enjoyed was the causa. The ceviche tasted like it wasn’t fresh, and the portion was very small for the price. The rest of the food was disappointing. The bathrooms were disgusting. There was urine all over the toilet and dirty toilet paper on the floor. Overall, the cleanliness and hygiene were unacceptable. We definitely won’t be coming back. I stumbled across Peruvian Taste this after a meeting and needing to find somewhere to eat. When you enter unclear what to expect, but as soon as the super friendly staff approaches, you know it’ll be a good experience. After the meal, I categorise it as a great experience. Each meal is made to order, so it is fresh, well seasoned and thoughtfully presented. Think: homemade meal prepared by a family member you look forward to being invited to their eclectic house.
