We’re genuinely sorry to hear about your daughter’s experience — we completely understand how upsetting it must have been for her to receive so many small coins as change, and how that might have made her feel. Please know there was certainly no intention to cause confusion or embarrassment. At the time, we were unfortunately short on larger denominations, and we had to make do with what was available in the till. That said, we acknowledge this wasn’t ideal, and we should have handled it with more care and consideration — especially knowing the customer was a child. We truly value every customer who walks through our doors, young and old, and we regret that this experience left you and your daughter feeling disrespected.
